Technical Services (TS) is one of four business areas within Wood Nordics and has been established to drive the company’s continued growth in new markets and services, including Marine (floating production, drilling, ports, and terminals), Low Carbon Solutions (CCS and CO₂ management, alternative fuels, and bioenergy), Digital Services (digitalization and system integration, data management, 3D visualization and scanning, digital twins, and LCI services), and Engineering Services (high-value operations and maintenance services, performance monitoring and maintenance optimization, and highly skilled engineering).

Job Description

Wood is seeking an ambitious Project Manager to lead and execute projects across all four business segments within Technical Services. The role entails end-to-end responsibility for project management, including developing targeted proposals, building and maintaining client relationships, leading contract negotiations, and ensuring successful project execution and delivery. The position will report to Director of Technical Services.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue and develop opportunities for innovation to bring value to Wood and the client
  • Responsible for establishing project procedures and preparing project execution plan
  • Responsible for delivering the agreed schedule and financial performance, proactively addressing deviations, and regularly reporting project progress and status to senior management and the client.
  • Guide and direct a multidiscipline project team, which may include external specialists/sub-contractors and involve staff from multiple offices and sites.
  • Continuously manage risks and opportunities throughout project execution
  • Responsible for contracts related to the projects

Qualifications

  • More than 7 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of EPCIC project execution, including management, engineering, and procurement
  • Strong technical knowledge and multidiscipline understanding
  • Experienced in contract management and negotiations
  • Strong commercial acumen, and an analytical and strategic mindset
  • Experience with sales and marketing activities
  • Experience working in cross-functional leadership teams and contributing to high performing teams
  • Strong communication skills in English and Norwegian
  • Experience from management consulting is considered an advantage
