Cyber Security Engineer (NV1)

Location: Melbourne OR Canberra

• 12-month initial contract with extension options
• NV1 requirement
• Strong experience with Assessment, Risk identification, Advisory & stakeholder management

About you:

• Demonstrated qualifications and/or professional experience assessed as suitable for eligibility to obtain DCIAB –CSAA endorsement as a Cyber Security Assessor, including (but not limited to) CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, and IRAP accreditation
• Knowledge/experience of radio and satellite communication systems/applications and/or Defence specific systems/applications
• Ability to work in a team
• Understanding of modern networking, computers and operating systems
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality technical reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Extensive industry and specialty experience in Cybersecurity within communications (radio and satellite)
• Strong understanding of ICT architectures, networks, platforms, cyber/security compliance and governance within the Defence environment
• Comprehensive understanding of Defence systems
• Previous Defence, Army or CASG experience
• Experience in assessing and evaluating risk
• Demonstrates creativity and innovation in applying solutions for the benefit of the customer/stakeholder.
