C++ Camera & Sensors Developer

Miele Tehnica is a subsidiary of Miele & Cie. KG, Germany. We produce electronic components for a wide range of Miele appliances, such as washing machines, tumble dryers, vacuum cleaners, ovens and others. The products Miele offers to its customers set the standards for durability, performance, ease of use, energy efficiency, design and service.

We are looking for an C++ Camera & Sensors Developer who wants to work on camera and Time-of-Flight sensor systems, embedded Linux platforms, Linux driver development and Edge AI frameworks for Linux and bare-metal targets.

This role is a good fit for engineers who enjoy working close to hardware, but also want to build modern C++ software for intelligent connected products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop software for Camera and Time-of-Flight sensor applications in C/C++
• Contribute to Edge AI frameworks for embedded Linux and bare-metal targets.
• Work on embedded Linux software components, including driver-related development and platform integration.
• Design software from concept to product release, including integration, documentation, testing and validation.
• Collaborate with international software, hardware, architecture and system teams.
• Improve software quality through automated testing, CI/CD and maintainable architecture.

Education:

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Key job requirements:

• Strong experience in modern C++ software development.
• Experience with embedded Linux development.
• Understanding Linux driver concepts, kernel/user-space interaction or hardware abstraction.
• Experience in development of multi-threaded applications.
• Experience debugging software close to hardware.
• Knowledge of CMake, Git and CI/CD practices.
• Good understanding of software architecture and testing principles.
• English language skills at B2 level or above.

Nice to have:

• Experience with camera sensors, motion sensors, image pipelines or sensor fusion.
• Camera stack experience: V4L2, ISP concepts, image acquisition, sensor calibration.
• Experience with Linux driver development.
• Experience with Edge AI, embedded inference runtimes or AI deployment on constrained devices.
• Python scripting for tooling, testing or automation.
• German language skills.
