We're partnering with a global engineering and technology organisation that is investing heavily in its next generation of IoT and Connected Platform Services. Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead to join a highly skilled engineering team delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions used by connected products around the world.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced software engineer who enjoys remaining hands-on while providing technical leadership, mentoring other engineers and influencing architecture across a modern distributed platform.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead, you'll work across the full software development life-cycle, from architecture and development through to deployment, operations and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the design and development of cloud-native backend services
• Building scalable microservices using Go (Golang), TypeScript and Java
• Designing REST APIs and gRPC services
• Developing distributed, event-driven architectures
• Working with AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker and Infrastructure as Code
• Supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
• Improving platform performance, observability, scalability and reliability
• Conducting code reviews and mentoring fellow engineers
• Collaborating with Architects, Product Owners and cross-functional engineering teams
• Helping shape technical direction and architectural decisions
