Android Developer

Our client requires a Android Developer to join their dynamic team on an initial 3-6 month contract. This role will be done on a Hybrid based model (1 Day a week in office).

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

3–6 years of professional Android development experience, preferably within banking, payments, or regulated environments

Role & responsibilities

Build and enhance Android application features to support wallet integrations, working within an existing ING mobile app codebase.

• Implement payment and card‑related user flows, including card provisioning, tokenization status handling, and wallet‑related UI components.
• Work embedded in ING agile squads, actively participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily ceremonies.
• Collaborate closely with backend developers, product owners, security, and compliance teams to ensure secure and compliant wallet functionality.
• Develop and maintain UI tests and support end‑to‑end testing and production readiness.
• Support issue resolution during integration, testing, and launch phases, with strong focus on delivery quality and timelines.

Technologies & tools

• Android SDK, Kotlin (or Java where applicable)
• Android UI frameworks (e.g. XML layouts, Jetpack components)
• Mobile payment / wallet integrations (payment APIs); Samsung Wallet SDK is a plus.
• REST API integration with backend services
• UI testing frameworks (e.g. Espresso)
• CI/CD for mobile builds
• Agile tooling (e.g. Azure, Confluence)
