Network Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Salt Lake City, UT that is seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to play a critical role in designing, maintaining, and enhancing our enterprise network infrastructure. This position involves a blend of hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving, and collaboration to ensure the stability, security, and performance of our network systems. Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• The Network Engineer will troubleshoot and resolve network outages, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity
• Administer and configure network monitoring tools to track performance and generate detailed reports
• Lead and contribute to projects focused on upgrading, improving, and maintaining the enterprise network
• Collaborate with vendors to stay informed on product updates, best practices, and end-of-life timelines for hardware and software
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices across the network infrastructure
• Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation for technical and non-technical aspects of the network
• The Network Engineer will respond to customer requests promptly, coordinating with team members to deliver effective solutions
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their growth and development
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support departmental goals
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network support is strongly preferred
• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise-scale network infrastructure required
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex networking projects and resolve critical issues efficiently
  
  

Proficiency In

• CITRIX
• ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure)
• CISCO Networking
• Network monitoring tools and technologies
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
