DevOps Engineer


Location: Remote (USA) / Hybrid (Preferred)

Duration: Long-Term Contract / Full-Time

Work Authorization: US Citizen or Green Card Only


Job Description

We are seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and modern DevOps tools to support scalable and secure application deployments.


Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Route 53, ELB, Auto Scaling)
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
  • Strong Linux administration experience
  • Experience with Git and Git workflows
  • Scripting experience using Bash, Python, or PowerShell
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or CloudWatch
  • Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancers, SSL, VPN, and Firewalls
  • Experience supporting production environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments


Preferred Skills

  • AWS Certification
  • Kubernetes Certification (CKA)
  • Experience with Helm
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Experience with ArgoCD or FluxCD
  • Experience with SonarQube, Nexus, or Artifactory
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps and security best practices
  • Experience with microservices architecture


Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Build and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Monitor infrastructure and application performance
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams
  • Ensure system reliability, scalability, availability, and security
  • Maintain documentation and operational procedures
  • Participate in production support and on-call rotation as needed


Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
