Cisco Network Engineer

Hybrid | Eden Prairie, MN (Must live within commuting distance – 100% remote is not available)

Summary:

We are seeking a junior-to-mid level Network Engineer with a strong foundation in Cisco networking to join a collaborative enterprise infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with approximately 3+ years of hands-on networking experience who is eager to expand their technical expertise and build a long-term career supporting a secure, scalable, and modern network environment.

What You'll Do:

• Design, implement, and support enterprise Cisco network infrastructure.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and Catalyst Center-managed environments.
• Support Cisco FMC/FTD firewalls, including firewall policy management, IPS/AMP, and troubleshooting.
• Administer Cisco ISE, including 802.1X authentication, TACACS+, network segmentation, and posture policies.
• Support Cisco SD-WAN connectivity and enterprise routing/switching environments.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, switching, VPN, QoS, and Layer 2/Layer 3 issues.
• Assist with system upgrades, network optimization, and implementation of new technologies.
• Maintain network documentation and follow change management processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to ensure a reliable, secure, and high-performing network infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
• Strong experience with Cisco networking (routing & switching)
• Experience working in a Cisco enterprise environment
• Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with:
• Cisco Catalyst Center
• Cisco FMC/FTD Firewalls
• Cisco ISE (802.1X, TACACS+, segmentation)
• Cisco SD-WAN
• BGP, OSPF, VPNs, QoS, Layer 2/Layer 3 networking
• Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure
• Familiarity with Palo Alto GlobalProtect and Prisma Access
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco Security Cloud
• Nexus Dashboard
• ThousandEyes
• Azure or AWS networking
• Basic Python scripting
