Lead NodeJS Engineer

We are seeking a Lead NodeJS Engineer to support Salesforce's API migration from MuleSoft, leading a team of EPAM engineers in modernizing enterprise-level cloud architectures and driving high-quality software delivery.

Kindly note that this role supports remote work, but only from within Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Act as communication liaison between EPAM team and Salesforce team operations
• Debug, test and deploy code to ensure high quality
• Take ownership of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code processes
• Review code and adapt it to meet project requirements
• Generate and maintain documentation for code and processes
• Execute unit, integration and performance tests to ensure new code reliability and performance
• Collaborate with team members to deliver complete functional solutions

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development with a focus on JavaScript/Node.js and cloud technologies
• 1+ year of experience leading development teams
• English proficiency at B2 level
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js programming language
• Expertise in AWS services such as Lambda, EKS and S3
• Knowledge of DynamoDB and cloud-native architectures
• Familiarity with back-end development
• Understanding of testing frameworks with hands-on experience in automated testing
• Skills in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD and GitHub Actions
• Competency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
• At least half a year of experience with AI tools for code generation, debugging and testing such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code and EPAM AI Run
• Flexibility to use AI tools and adapt to AI-assisted workflows
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
