Job Overview
Our client is looking for a versatile 2D Game Artist & Animator who can cover multiple creative disciplines. This is not a specialist role - they need someone who can do a bit of everything at a good standard rather than one thing brilliantly.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM PST, with 1 hour break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Design and illustrate original creature and character art
- Create forest environment backgrounds, biomes, and scene elements
- Produce basic 2D animations (idle, walk, attack cycles) as sprite sheets
- Deliver all assets formatted and ready for Unity import
- Iterate based on client feedback
Requirements
- Strong 2D illustration portfolio covering both characters and environments
- Able to animate - even basic sprite sheet animation is fine
- Experience delivering game-ready assets (transparent PNGs, correct resolution)
- Proficient in Photoshop, Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, or equivalent
- Able to match and maintain a consistent art style
Nice To Have
- Spine 2D or DragonBones experience for skeletal animation
- Experience preparing assets specifically for Unity
- Mobile game art experience
