About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join a fast-growing technology company building a high-scale digital platform used by hundreds of thousands of users.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys taking full ownership of features—from concept to production—and is comfortable working across frontend, backend, and data layers. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable products, improve platform reliability, and contribute to an engineering culture focused on quality, automation, and continuous delivery.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Feature Ownership

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features across the full technology stack.
• Own services, APIs, frontend components, and system integrations from planning through production.
• Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, secure, accessible, and maintainable.

Full-Stack Development

• Build backend services using modern Node.js frameworks.
• Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Design APIs and database models that support long-term scalability.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Engineering Excellence

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Continuously improve application performance, reliability, and developer experience.
• Reduce technical debt through thoughtful refactoring and architecture improvements.

Platform Reliability

• Monitor production systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Improve observability through logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Participate in incident response and postmortem reviews.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

AI & Automation

• Contribute to AI-powered product features and internal engineering workflows.
• Explore opportunities to automate repetitive engineering tasks using AI tools.
• Help implement safe, scalable, and cost-effective AI integrations.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade applications.
• Ability to independently own projects and deliver high-quality solutions.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency with TypeScript.
• Solid backend development experience using Node.js (NestJS is highly preferred).
• Experience with React, Next.js, and/or React Native.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database design.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience working across both frontend and backend development.

Software Engineering Practices

• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, and Playwright.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of monitoring, debugging, and application performance optimization.
• Understanding of modern software architecture and engineering best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into software products.
• Familiarity with AI development concepts such as embeddings, RAG, or LLM APIs.
• Experience in high-growth startups, SaaS platforms, marketplaces, or consumer products.
• Experience with trunk-based development or continuous deployment environments.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Professional-level English (written and spoken) is required.
• Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
