work on-site as a Resident Engineer (RE) with HPE Networking Customers on site at their premises focusing on security products and technologies The RE provides high quality customer engineering and operational support and works closely with customer operational groups and with HPE Networking support groups to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Assist the customer’s operations team with the preparation of device configurations and to validate configurations for new installations, changes within the network, software upgrades etc Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to the HPE Juniper based devices (SRX- and MX-product families) Act pro-actively to solve problems within the network and to ensure that the security infrastructure behaviour is sound Assist the customer’s Security Operations Centre teams to develop and maintain fault diagnosis procedures to support effective fault resolution Configure and manage the MX and SRX platforms including VRFs, security policies, NAT, IPSec VPNs, and security zones. Generate weekly reports to update the Customer’s staff on outstanding issues Participate in design exercises where a new design is likely to impact directly, or indirectly, upon the HPE Networking devices in the network Assist with any security related testing to ensure that the HPE Juniper security devices operate correctly and that the integrity of the customer’s network is not jeopardized Train the customer staff on HPE Juniper equipment and functionality in informal sessions or classes Troubleshoot network issues and open TAC cases Act as a liaison with HPE Networking Customer Service and Engineering groups, and the Partner, as appropriate; providing feedback to customer accordingly Submit relevant problem reports and feature requests to the relevant groups within the HPE Networking organization Provide advice on and demonstrate, if necessary, new software and hardware features; evelop and maintain strong relationships with key contacts
