The Project Manager for Data Center is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering data center projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strong project management abilities to oversee the development and expansion of data centers. Experience in execution of large complex Commercial and Industrial Projects can be considered .
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholder
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
- Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, Design Consultants and clients to ensure alignment with project goals
- Conduct regular status meetings to communicate progress and address concern
- Act as the main point of contact for all project-related activities
Budget and Resource Management
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring costs remain within approved limit
- Allocate and manage resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and material
Risk and Issue Management
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Resolve project issues ,((multi disciplinary and stake holder interfaces)promptly , to avoid delays or disruption
Technical Oversight
- Coordinate with IT teams to ensure proper deployment of Data Center Build infrastructure , for hosting servers, storage, and networking equipment
- Oversee the design, installation, and configuration of data center facilities
- Ensure adherence to best practices for data center operations, including cooling, power management, and security
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure projects comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to verify that deliverables meet specified requirements
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and change logs
- Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders and senior management
Team Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to project team members
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field in Construction Management
Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
Experience:
15+ years of project management experience, preferably in infrastructure or data center environments.
Proven track record of managing large-scale projects, including migrations, expansions, or new builds.
Technical Skills: Project Management

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Tools and Software:
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello).
Familiarity with monitoring tools and DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) solutions.
