Founding Engineer / Senior Product Full-Stack Engineer

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid preferred; flexible remote options within Ireland/Europe)

We are building a project-scoped, AI-assisted platform designed to ingest heavy project documentation, reason across complex data, and automate critical industry workflows (like RFIs, variation drafting, and site reporting).

As our Founding Engineer, you will own the early technical spine of the product. Working directly alongside the founder and our initial product, design, and AI hires, your mission is to take us from 0 to 1. You will build an MVP that real construction teams will trust, love, and refuse to work without.

This isn't about building a fragile AI chatbot wrapper; it’s about architecting a robust, scalable B2B SaaS platform that solves messy, real-world operational problems.

What You Will Own

You will have end-to-end ownership over building our main SaaS application. You should feel entirely comfortable shifting gears between:

• Core Engineering: Designing the frontend user experience, backend APIs, data models, permissions structures, and audit trails.
• Infrastructure & Deployment: Managing file handling, document ingestion pipelines, authentication, and DevOps/monitoring.
• Applied AI Boundaries: Establishing disciplined retrieval, orchestration, and vector search layers.
• External Partnerships: Managing relationships and collaborating effectively with outsourcing agencies to accelerate delivery.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience: 8–12+ years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record of shipping production-grade B2B SaaS products end-to-end.
• Startup DNA: Prior experience in a startup or rapid scale-up environment, making critical early architecture decisions.
• Technical Stack: Deep expertise in the TypeScript ecosystem (React/Next.js on the front, Node/NestJS on the back) and PostgreSQL.
• Pragmatic AI Experience: You have integrated applied AI features into production software. You understand LLM APIs, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), embeddings, tool-calling patterns, and output evaluation.
• Mindset: Low-ego, highly collaborative, and deeply product-minded. You value simplicity over over-engineering and have the confidence to constructively challenge the founder and say "no" to scope creep.
• Preferred Industry Backgrounds: Experience in Construction Tech, PropTech, Field Service Software, Workflow Automation, or Document-Heavy SaaS (think companies like Procore, Autodesk, Fieldwire, or similar).
