Senior Backend / Full-Stack Engineer

emagine is looking for a Senior Backend / Full-Stack Engineer to join one of our clients and help build and scale a business-critical subscription and membership platform.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, driving initiatives end-to-end, and working in a fast-paced product environment. The client highly values engineers who actively leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity and quality.

• Develop and maintain services for subscription and membership management.
• Build solutions for billing, renewals, plan changes, customer access, and retention flows.
• Develop and improve large-scale experimentation and A/B testing capabilities.
• Optimize customer onboarding, conversion, and churn-prevention journeys.
• Own features from design and development to deployment, monitoring, and support.
• Contribute to architecture and technical direction.

• 6+ years of relevant software engineering experience.

• Node.js
• TypeScript
• React and/or ReactNative
• PostgreSQL
• DynamoDB
• Redis
• Kafka
• Experience building and operating scalable, high-traffic systems.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently.

• Subscription, membership, billing, or payment platforms.
• Experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and feature flags.
• Distributed systems and consumer-facing products at scale.

• Driven, proactive, and solution-oriented.
• Comfortable taking responsibility and influencing outcomes.
