Ship2Port, powered by Royal Dirkzwager, is a 24/7 maritime intelligence and ISPS security platform used by terminals, shipping agencies, port authorities, and service providers across Europe. The platform tracks 200,000+ vessels worldwide, processes 500,000+ ISPS terminal and ship visits annually, and integrates with 60+ port ecosystems. We are ISO 27001 certified and ISPS-compliant — reliability and security are not buzzwords here, they are requirements.

We are looking for a senior .NET developer who thrives in a complex, real-world domain and does not need hand-holding to deliver.

The Role

You will be a core member of a small, high-ownership engineering team building and evolving the backend that powers Ship2Port. You will work across a complex maritime domain — vessel tracking, ISPS gate automation, port planning, arrival/departure intelligence — and own the services that port operators and shipping professionals rely on around the clock.

This is not a role for someone who needs perfect specs to get started. You will take full ownership of services from design through production, contribute to architectural decisions, and proactively identify and fix problems before they affect users.

What You'll Work On

• Build and maintain .NET microservices and APIs at production scale
  
  

• Design and evolve clean, domain-driven architectures: Clean Architecture, CQRS, DDD
  
  

• Work with a rich data layer: SQL Server, Azure-hosted databases, REST and event-driven integrations
  
  

• Collaborate on API design with the Angular frontend team (REST / BFF patterns)
  
  

• Ship via Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to Azure Container Apps using Docker
  
  

• Integrate with external providers and AIS data feeds
  
  

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Claude) as part of your daily workflow
  
  

• Participate in architecture and technical direction decisions — your opinion will carry weight
  
  
  
  

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

• 5+ years of professional backend development with C# and ASP.NET Core
  
  

• Fluent in Polish and English
  
  

• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and software design patterns
  
  

• Solid experience with Entity Framework Core and relational databases (SQL Server)
  
  

• Hands-on experience with Clean Architecture, Microservices, and CQRS
  
  

• Experience with REST API design and building API-first services
  
  

• Strong command of Docker and containerized deployments
  
  

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines — we use Azure DevOps
  
  

• Clean code as a practice — you write code your colleagues can confidently extend
  
  

• Genuine ability to self-direct: loosely defined problem -> breakdown -> delivery
  
  

Strong plus:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure (Container Apps, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Key Vault)
  
  

• Familiarity with Angular — ability to read and understand frontend code
  
  

• Background in maritime, logistics, or industrial B2B SaaS
  
  

• Experience with real-time data processing (AIS feeds, WebSockets, event streaming)
  
  

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
