Fibre Splicing Engineer — 16F Ribbon / SN-MT | Major Infrastructure Project

We are currently mobilising a specialist fibre splicing team for a large-scale fibre infrastructure project and are looking for experienced Fibre Splicing Engineers to join us.

📋 Project Scope

• 48 fibre cables, each containing 3,456 fibres

• 216 × 16F ribbon units per cable

• All ribbons to be spliced onto 16F pigtails with SN-MT connectors

• Total scope: 20,736 × 16F ribbon splices with full end-to-end testing

• Both-end testing required on all splices

👤 What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in 16F ribbon fusion splicing

• Familiarity with SN-MT connector systems

• Competent in OTDR testing and splice loss analysis

• Ability to work independently to a high standard within a cabinet-based workflow

• Experience on large-scale fibre programmes (data centre, hyperscale, or telecoms infrastructure preferred)

✅ Nice to Have

• Previous ribbon splicing experience on high-density cable environments

• Familiarity with IEC/Telcordia splice loss standards
