Backend Engineer, AI

We're looking for a Backend Engineer who loves building scalable systems that power intelligent applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys architecting backend services, integrating AI capabilities, and taking products from concept to production.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python and Node.js.
• Build the backend infrastructure that powers AI-driven applications and services.
• Integrate and optimize machine learning models using PyTorch and modern AI frameworks.
• Develop APIs and workflows to support LLMs, AI agents, and other generative AI capabilities.
• Design reliable, secure, and high-performance system architectures.
• Collaborate with frontend, AI, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver production-ready features.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and observability.
• Build and maintain cloud-native services, deployment pipelines, and backend infrastructure.
• Evaluate new technologies and contribute to technical architecture decisions.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Node.js.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch and deploying machine learning models into production.
• Experience integrating LLMs, AI APIs, or other AI services into backend systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, caching, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and backend deployment best practices.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, security, and system reliability.
