IP Transport Engineer

Job Summary

We are hiring an IP Transport Engineer for a leading telecom operator in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in IP Transport Networks, Service Provider Routing & Switching, and Mobile Packet Core technologies within a telecom/service provider environment.

Job Title :IP Transport Engineer

Location: Doha, Qatar

Contract: yearly Renewable

Key Responsibilities

• Perform operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IP transport networks.
• Monitor network performance and ensure SLA compliance.
• Support installation, configuration, and network upgrades.
• Resolve network incidents and optimize performance.
• Work closely with wireless and core network teams.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of 3GPP architecture and GSM, 3G, LTE, and 5G technologies.
• Experience with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/IOS-XR, Nokia 7750, Huawei Routers, Firewalls, and IPsec-GW.
• Knowledge of SGSN, GGSN, PCRF, SAE-GW, DNS, IMS, and VMware/vSphere.
• Experience in Service Provider Routing & Switching and IP Network Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of IP Network experience with a telecom operator/service provider.
• VMware certification is an advantage.
