Senior ICT/ELV Engineer ( Data Center )

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior ICT/ELV Engineer to join a growing data center design and engineering company in Doha, Qatar. The role will support the design, coordination, and delivery of ICT, telecommunications, and ELV systems for mission-critical and data center projects, ensuring solutions are secure, reliable, high-performing, and aligned with project requirements, international standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate ICT, telecommunications, and low-voltage system designs for data center and mission-critical facilities.
• Prepare technical documentation including design drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, system architectures, and engineering reports.
• Design and coordinate structured cabling systems, fibre optic networks, telecommunications infrastructure, and cable management solutions.
• Develop ELV system designs including CCTV, access control, intercom, public address, intrusion detection, BMS, EPMS, leak detection, and security systems.
• Coordinate ICT infrastructure with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and BIM disciplines to ensure fully integrated designs.
• Develop layouts for data rooms, MDF/IDF rooms, carrier rooms, pathways, containment systems, and network infrastructure.
• Review shop drawings, technical submittals, material approvals, and contractor proposals.
• Ensure ICT and ELV designs comply with client requirements, international standards, and project specifications.
• Support site surveys, inspections, testing, commissioning, and technical issue resolution during construction.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation, project records, and deliverables within project schedules.
• Keep up to date with emerging ICT technologies, cybersecurity considerations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in ICT/ELV engineering, including responsibility for major projects.
• Experience delivering data center, mission-critical, commercial, or industrial projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards including ANSI/TIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801, and BICSI best practices.
• Experience designing ICT infrastructure, fibre optic networks, telecommunications systems, and ELV solutions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with TIA-942, Uptime Institute, or other data center standards is advantageous.
• RCDD certification is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing ICT systems for hyperscale data centers and critical infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of network architecture, data halls, carrier rooms, meet-me rooms, MDF/IDF rooms, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Strong multidisciplinary coordination skills with the ability to work across engineering and design teams.
• Excellent technical documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality engineering solutions within project deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Salary

• QAR 15,000 – 20,000 per month
