We're supporting a well-established technology company in the financial services space that is looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to help shape and scale a mission-critical software platform.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, working on modern backend systems in a regulated environment with a strong focus on quality, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Java.
• Drive technical decisions, architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Take ownership of features from design through deployment and production.
• Support developers through coaching, reviews, and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.

Requirements

• Several years of software engineering experience with strong Java backend expertise.
• Previous experience in a technical leadership role, or leading technical projects.
• Solid experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Fluent German and English.

Good to Have

• Experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code.
• Frontend exposure with TypeScript and Angular/React.
• Background in financial services or other regulated industries.
• Experience with Python, AI/ML, or platform engineering.
