Maltem Australia is entering a new phase of growth and is looking for a GenAI Consultant based in Melbourne (3 days per week in the office at Southbank) to support the expansion of our Data, Analytics & AI consulting business across Australia.

💼 Key Responsibilities

AI Solution Engineering & Delivery

• Design, build, deploy, and support production-grade AI applications, agents, and automation solutions.
• Lead delivery of priority AI use cases, including:
• AI agents on top of enterprise data platforms
• ERP process automation
• B2B data preparation and formatting solutions
• Take solutions from concept and MVP through to production deployment and ongoing support.
• Develop reusable frameworks, components, and accelerators to enable future AI use cases.

AI Architecture & Productisation

• Define scalable AI solution architectures aligned with enterprise standards.
• Build robust, secure, and supportable AI applications.
• Establish engineering best practices, monitoring, testing, governance, and operational support processes.
• Ensure solutions are designed for long-term maintainability and adoption.

Business Enablement

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify, shape, and prioritise AI opportunities.
• Deliver workshops, training sessions, and monthly knowledge-sharing forums.
• Coach users on tools such as Copilot Studio and GitHub Copilot.
• Support business-led AI innovation while providing engineering guidance for more complex use cases.

Enterprise Alignment

• Act as the bridge between local delivery teams and central AI teams.
• Adopt and contribute to enterprise AI standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Promote consistency, reuse, and governance across AI initiatives.

AI Engineering

Experience with:

• Python
• Building AI applications and intelligent agents
• Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Agent-based architectures
• LLM orchestration frameworks
• Prompt engineering, evaluation, and testing
• AI workflow automation
• Production deployment and operational support of AI solutions
