Task & Responsibilities

• Configure and install GPON, NTD, and PCD devices at client locations to establish and verify reliable fiber connections.
• Identify and analyze issues in existing systems, determining the most effective solutions for current and future challenges to improve network communications.
• Diagnose internet connectivity issues for residential and business clients and address FTTN copper and FTTP fiber-related problems using tools like JDSU for line testing and validation.
• Configure and install NTD and PCD devices at client locations to establish reliable fiber connections.
• Complete connections by activating systems and running diagnostic tests using applications such as HECAS and FastTest.
• Plan and execute site selection, commissioning, and testing of telecommunications equipment, adhering to industry standards and client requirements.
• Support the transition from copper to fiber networks by coordinating with clients and leveraging advanced technologies for improved connectivity.
• Conduct MLT and LSD to verify C-pair connections, and utilize tools like toner and probe kits, OTDR, and EXFO testers for efficient troubleshooting and fiber network maintenance.
• Create and oversee the deployment of advanced telecommunications systems and broadcasting equipment, ensuring robust performance and reliability. Resolve fiber connectivity problems by creating mechanical connectors, checking fiber readings, and performing activation tests using mobile applications.
• Determine and implement optimal configurations for telecommunications hardware and software to meet performance objectives.
• Ensure all telecommunications systems adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain safety and operational integrity.
• Proactively monitor telecommunications systems to identify opportunities for updates, preventive maintenance, and enhancements to improve overall system performance.
• Analyze and address challenges such as signal interference, connectivity disruptions, and system clarity issues, implementing effective solutions to enhance network stability and user experience.
• Work closely with engineers and technologists to deliver customized telecommunication solutions, drawing on over seven years of industry expertise.
  
  

Qualification & Experience

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Bring

• A degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with telecommunications regulations and compliance standards.
• Hands-on experience with tools like OTDR, EXFO testers, and diagnostic applications.
