Senior Project Manager - Enabling Works

Cumming Group is supporting a leading international developer in the delivery of a major mission-critical infrastructure project in Finland.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager/Associate Director to lead the delivery of a significant enabling works package during the early construction phase of a large-scale development. The successful candidate will act as the client's representative, overseeing contractor performance, construction activities, project controls and stakeholder management throughout the programme.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a construction professional with a strong background in civil infrastructure, site development and enabling works.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of enabling works activities on site.
• Manage contractors, consultants and key project stakeholders.
• Oversee programme, cost, quality and health & safety performance.
• Monitor construction progress and proactively manage project risks.
• Coordinate reporting, progress reviews and project governance activities.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with client requirements and industry best practice.
• Support successful transition from enabling works into subsequent construction phases.

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager or Construction Manager.
• Demonstrable track record delivering enabling works packages on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience managing:
• Earthworks
• Groundworks
• Site preparation
• Excavation works
• Utilities and infrastructure packages
• Rock excavation and/or blasting activities
• Experience managing contractor-led delivery on complex projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of construction health & safety requirements.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Data centre, mission-critical, industrial or major infrastructure project experience.
• Previous project delivery experience within Finland or the wider Nordic region.
• Knowledge of Finnish construction regulations, contractors and supply chains.
• Finnish language skills advantageous.
