This is a rare opportunity to join a globally scaled, Irish-headquartered business at a pivotal moment in its evolution. Reporting directly to Chief Financial Officer, and working closely with Executive leadership colleagues, the successful candidate will lead one of the most strategically important transformation agendas across the organisation.

With approximately 40,000 employees across 55 countries and annual revenues of ~$8.25 billion (2025), ICON is embarking on a significant multi-year enterprise transformation programme designed to enhance operational performance, modernise finance, improve data confidence, and create long-term shareholder value.

The Opportunity

As SVP, Finance Transformation, you will establish and lead a newly created finance transformation function, driving large-scale change across the global finance organisation.

This role sits at the heart of ICON’s strategic agenda and will be responsible for delivering meaningful improvements in process efficiency, automation, data quality, systems capability, controls, forecasting and decision support.

You will work across Finance Shared Services, Accounting, Business Partnering and Corporate Functions to redesign the finance operating model and build a world-class finance capability fit for the future.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading enterprise-wide finance transformation initiatives.
• Developing and executing a multi-year finance transformation strategy.
• Driving ERP optimisation, automation, AI adoption and digital enablement.
• Standardising and simplifying global finance processes.
• Building business cases for transformational change and securing executive and board-level buy-in.
• Enhancing data quality, governance, controls and reporting capabilities.
• Creating scalable operating models that support future growth.
• Building and leading a high-performing finance transformation team.
• Partnering closely with finance and business leaders globally to deliver sustainable value creation.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking an exceptional finance leader who combines strategic vision with execution excellence.

You will likely bring:

• A proven track record leading large-scale finance transformation programmes in a complex global organisation.
• Significant experience delivering ERP, process optimisation and operating model transformation initiatives.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at Board, Executive Committee and Investor levels.
• Experience driving change across multinational environments with multiple stakeholders.
• A passion for leveraging technology, AI and automation to improve finance performance.
• The leadership capability to build high-performing teams and create lasting organisational impact.
