IT Project Manager 1698

SimoTech has an opportunity for an IT Project Manager with expertise delivering GxP Systems to join our team, supporting a greenfield state-of-the-art biotech manufacturing organisation in Limerick.

The successful IT Project Manager will take lead managing complex digital systems projects to deliver IT solutions to drive compliance, efficiency, change and innovation, incorporating Agile principles and ensuring quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead project delivery and governance. This includes the planning and delivery of GxP IT systems projects, developing project charters, scoping out projects including timelines and budgets, implementing risk management strategies, and tracing delivery performance to ensure projects are aligned with business objectives.
• Promote and apply Agile methodologies to manage iterative development and ongoing CI/CD.
• Embed Agile delivery approaches using Scrum or Kanban to support iterative execution and continuous improvement, including coaching teams on Agile best practices and facilitating Agile team meetings for daily stand-ups, sprint planning etc.
• Encourage the adoption of automation and modern delivery practices to enhance overall delivery effectiveness.
• Actively collaborate with key stakeholders representing the business, regulatory, and technical areas to clearly communicate the project vision, expected outcomes, and provide project status updates to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance and quality standards are adhered to pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
• Ensure all documentation meets quality and regulatory requirements, including validation protocols and project lifecycle deliverables

Key Requirements

• Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or similar with experience project managing the delivery of IT systems within a life sciences GMP regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles, with proven experience acting as an advocate for the adoption of Agile methodologies. PMP or Agile certification preferred. Knowledge of Design Thinking principles and customer-centric delivery preferred.
• Proven capability in managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and governance within a complex, highly regulated delivery settings.
• Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills with experience successfully collaborating with key stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Experience operating within regulated environments, with understanding of GxP, data integrity, and validation requirements.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model, with 3 days per week based on-site and 2 days working remotely.
