We're looking for a Data Engineer to join Business Intelligence team within our Africa hub and build the data foundation behind smarter business decisions. You'll develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and specialized data marts that power our operational reporting and advanced analytics.

Your responsibilities:

• Build, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines
• Design scalable data models and ensure data is accurate, reliable, and ready for analytics
• Optimize database performance, queries, and data processing workflows
• Partner with BI Developers, Data Analysts, and business teams to deliver impactful data solutions
• Improve data architecture, automation, and engineering best practices
• Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and documentation following best practices
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment of data warehouse solutions
• Continuously improve data engineering processes, automation, and platform performance

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Data Warehouse Engineer, Data Engineer, BI Engineer, or similar
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
• Hands-on experience with data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and ETL/ELT processes
• Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms is a bonus
• Strong understanding of data quality, data integration, and performance optimization
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Team player with strong communication skills and experience working in dynamic environments
• Fluent in English
