About the Opportunity

The Head of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for leading the organisation's technology function, ensuring that IT services, infrastructure, applications and security effectively support business objectives and regulatory requirements.

The role provides strategic direction while overseeing day-to-day technology operations, working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to deliver secure, reliable and scalable technology solutions.

The successful candidate will establish and maintain an effective IT operating model, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure technology services remain resilient, compliant and aligned with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organisation's IT strategy, governance framework, and operating model.
• Lead the delivery and operation of IT infrastructure, cloud services, workplace technologies, and enterprise applications.
• Ensure the availability, performance, security, and resilience of technology platforms and services.
• Oversee identity and access management, cybersecurity controls, business continuity, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors, managed service providers, and strategic partners, ensuring service quality and contractual compliance.
• Support the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of business-critical systems, including digital platforms and integrated applications.
• Coordinate technology projects, system upgrades, and change initiatives while ensuring effective testing, release management, and operational readiness.
• Monitor technology risks, regulatory obligations and internal control requirements, implementing appropriate governance and mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand operational needs, translate requirements into technology solutions and support organisational growth.
• Prepare management reporting, technology roadmaps, budgets and performance metrics to support informed decision-making.
• Build, develop and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in IT leadership, preferably within a regulated or complex business environment.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, identity management and modern workplace platforms.
• Experience managing outsourced IT services, technology vendors and cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Sound knowledge of IT governance, risk management, information security and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technology transformation, manage change and deliver operational excellence.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organisational levels.
• Professional certifications in cloud technologies, cybersecurity or IT service management are considered an advantage.
• Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are beneficial.
