As part of a transformation project within the Strategy, Risk & Analytics division, a Software Asset Management (SAM) solution with end-to-end processes across the entire software lifecycle is being newly designed. The focus is on analyzing existing software processes and developing a target operating model, including tooling, governance, and integration into the existing system landscape.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing software-related processes across the entire software lifecycle (demand, procurement, deployment, usage, maintenance, retirement) and identify process gaps from a Software Asset Management perspective.
• Design an end-to-end Software Asset Management framework, including roles, responsibilities, control points, and interfaces.
• Gather, align, and document business and technical requirements for a future Software Asset Management tool.
• Define MVP (Minimum Viable Product) or minimum requirements and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements.
• Design the integration of the Software Asset Management tool into the existing system landscape (e.g., ITSM, ERP/SAP Ariba), including interfaces and data flows.
• Prepare decision-making documentation (e.g., business case, target operating model), functional concepts, and training materials.
• Support the tool selection process and assist with the initial implementation steps and rollout.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
• Completed degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
• Several years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Engineer in complex, agile environments (e.g., SAFe).
• Strong experience in Software Asset Management or Software License Management, including a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes.
• Experience in designing and further developing Software Asset Management or License Management solutions.
• Knowledge of common Software Asset Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow SAM, Flexera, Snow, USU, or comparable solutions) is an advantage.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders from IT, Procurement, Finance, Security, Risk, and Management.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and pragmatic working style with a focus on business value, risk, and cost.
