Backend Developer

Who we are and what we do:

At Viedoc, we build software that modernizes clinical research, so that necessary treatments can reach the people who need them faster.

We accomplish this by combining technology and design to streamline, automate and simplify conventional processes within clinical research. Simply put, Viedoc makes every aspect of a clinical study run smoothly, helping new treatments reach patients faster.

We are now building the next generation of our platform and architecture, with a strong focus on scalable backend services, data flows, and event-driven solutions. A key part of this is our new data platform, which will help us create a more modular, scalable foundation for Viedoc’s product ecosystem.

What you will do and why:

As a Backend Developer, you will play a key role in evolving the platform that powers modern clinical studies. You will work closely with the database layer, APIs, services, and data flows, helping us bring together several data sources and move towards a clearer and more scalable architecture.

This is a role for someone who enjoys backend development, architectural thinking, and product-focused problem solving. You will contribute not only by building solutions, but also by shaping them together with the team.

Operating in a highly regulated industry, you will help ensure high standards of quality, performance, and information security in everything we build.

You will also have the opportunity to use and explore AI-powered development tools such as Claude, Copilot and Codex.

Our tech stack includes: .NET/C#, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Azure, Azure DevOps, Docker, gRPC and Protobuf.

In this role you will

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs
• Contribute to the development of a new data platform
• Work with event-driven architecture, data flows, and integrations
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to shape technical solutions from product needs to architecture and implementation
  
  

What we believe you have:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, preferably with .NET/C#
• Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably Azure, and an understanding of
  
  

infrastructure as code tools such as Bicep or Terraform

• A good understanding of software architecture, system design, scalable backend solutions, and a strong product mindset
• Interest in using AI tools to work smarter and explore new ways of solving problems
• Fluent in English, both speech and writing
