At Axiell, we develop innovative software solutions that help cultural institutions such as libraries, museums, and archives share knowledge with the world. As part of our continued growth, we are now looking for an Information Security Engineer to strengthen our Security & Architecture team.


In this role, you will play a key part in shaping, implementing, and maintaining our global security posture across cloud and hybrid environments. You will work closely with colleagues across IT and architecture, ensuring security, compliance, and resilience in both internal and customer-facing systems.


You will be involved in everything from developing security controls and managing incidents to supporting audits, working with stakeholders, and continuously improving our security capabilities in line with evolving threats and industry standards.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working hands-on with modern security technologies while also contributing strategically to a global organization.


This position may occasionally require after-hours support during critical incidents.


The position is based in Lund, Sweden with the possibility to work part time from home.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud and hosted environments
  • Manage Microsoft security platforms and related solutions
  • Monitor systems, detect threats, and lead incident response activities
  • Drive vulnerability management and remediation processes
  • Support audits, compliance efforts, and customer requirements
  • Collaborate with IT, product, and other business stakeholders to translate needs into secure solutions
  • Continuously monitor emerging threats and improve security practices


Qualifications


Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with Microsoft security stack (Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview)
  • Experience working with Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, AWS, and hybrid/cloud environments
  • Solid knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, PCI-DSS)
  • Experience in security incident management (end-to-end lifecycle)
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management and remediation
  • Experience with on-prem environments (Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Cisco networking)
  • Familiarity with Azure Arc and hybrid cloud solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
