Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Engineer to join our IT Delivery team, focusing on hybrid cloud technologies with a strong background in Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in leading the design, implementation, and management of our hybrid cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of both on-premises and cloud-based systems.

Design and Architecture:

• Develop and implement hybrid cloud strategies using Microsoft Azure and other hybrid cloud platforms
• Architect and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure cloud and on-premises solutions
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Implementation and Management:

• Manage and maintain hybrid cloud environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities
• Implement and manage IaaS, SaaS, PaaS solutions such as Azure Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Office 365
• Resolving complex technical issues in collaboration with our ServiceDesk team
• Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides

Security and Compliance:

• Ensure security best practices and compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Implement, maintain and monitor security controls

Optimization and Performance Tuning:

• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud and on-premises systems Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline operations
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning

🕵 We are looking for an individual who:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in system engineering, with a focus on Microsoft related technologies

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and related technologies
• Strong understanding of networking principles, including VPN, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configurations
• Experience with cloud virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and Citrix Familiarity with DevOps practices (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines) and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates and Azure Bicep

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines together with external partners
