Retail Designer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Designer to create detailed technical drawings and plans for our projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers, architects, and designers to transform concepts into precise and functional drawings. Proficiency in CAD software and a strong understanding of construction, manufacturing, or mechanical design principles are essential for success in this role.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

• Drafting & Design: Create accurate and detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or other industry-standard software.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics that meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Architects, Project Managers and Contractor to refine designs, incorporate feedback, and ensure feasibility.
• Material & Specification Details: Define dimensions, materials, and assembly instructions within drawings to guide fabrication, construction, or installation processes.
• Revisions & Updates: Modify existing drawings based on new data, design changes, or client feedback while maintaining version control.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure all technical drawings adhere to regulatory requirements, industry codes, and company quality standards.
• Site Coordination (if applicable): Assist in site surveys, taking measurements, and verifying project execution aligns with the original design.
• Report & Documentation Management: Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and supporting technical documents for easy reference.

PROFILE & COMPETENCIES

• Strong knowledge of construction, mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering principles (depending on industry).
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of industry regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Creativity – able to propose and challenge design.
• Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3DsMAX, Revit, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or other CAD software.
• Experience in 3D modeling, BIM (Building Information Modeling), or rendering software.
• Understanding material properties, fabrication techniques, and manufacturing processes.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Retail, preferably within Parfums & Cosmetics or luxury retail.
• Language: English (speaking and writing).
