Applications close: Friday 31st July
Our Graduate Program
You’ll join a 12-month development programme designed for recent graduates looking to build a career in insurance. From day one, you’ll gain hands-on experience in cyber insurance, learning how risks are assessed, placed, and managed, while developing your technical, commercial, and client-facing skills.
Throughout the programme, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, receive structured support, and build relationships with colleagues, mentors, and senior leaders across Howden. Upon successful completion, you will transition into a permanent role.
What you’ll be doing?
Throughout the programme, you’ll:
- Gain hands-on experience supporting brokers with the placement and renewal of cyber insurance programmes for clients across a wide range of industries, helping organisations protect themselves against evolving digital, operational, and technology-related risks.
- Work alongside experienced professionals to review market submissions, compare quotes, analyse coverage options, and help develop clear recommendations for clients.
- Build an understanding of the risks, challenges, and opportunities facing organisations in areas such as data protection, cyber security, business interruption, ransomware, regulatory change, and incident response.
- Develop technical knowledge of cyber insurance products, market dynamics, broking practices, claims processes, and the role insurance plays in supporting clients before, during, and after a cyber event.
- Collaborate with broking, claims, placement, risk advisory, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions and service to clients across the cyber insurance lifecycle.
- Learn how to use industry systems and internal processes while maintaining accurate client, policy, market, and claims information.
- Participate in training, networking, and development opportunities designed to build your commercial, technical, and professional skills.
