Position: Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Hybrid (4 Days Onsite) – Toronto, ON
Duration: 15-Month Contract (July 13, 2026 – November 30, 2027)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $34/hour
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading Canadian financial institution, is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join its Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance and analytics professional who wants to gain exposure to Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Treasury Management, Financial Reporting, and Balance Sheet Management while working with senior stakeholders across the organization.
You will join a collaborative team of five professionals responsible for delivering critical reporting, analysis, and insights that support strategic treasury and finance initiatives.
About the Team
The Intersegment Funds Transfer Pricing (IFTP) team works closely with Treasury and Finance partners to manage and enhance the Bank's Funds Transfer Pricing framework. The team investigates reporting variances, performs financial analysis, develops reporting solutions, and supports senior management with insights into net interest income performance and balance sheet optimization opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain monthly FTP reporting and dashboards.
- Analyze portfolio performance and explain key drivers of results.
- Investigate reporting variances and identify root causes.
- Prepare executive-level reports and presentations.
- Support forecast and actual performance analysis.
- Monitor interest rate movements and report on impacts to business performance.
- Enhance reporting processes, infrastructure, and analytical capabilities.
- Collaborate with Finance and Treasury stakeholders to develop consistent reporting narratives.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and user experience.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and support strategic treasury initiatives.
- Assist in investigating differences between the Bank's FTP and financial reporting views of net interest income.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Post-secondary degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or another related quantitative discipline.
Experience
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in Finance, Treasury, Reporting, Business Intelligence, or Data Analytics.
- Experience producing recurring financial or operational reports.
- Exposure to treasury functions, banking, finance, or financial services environments.
Must-Have Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong reporting and dashboard development experience.
- Data analysis experience with large datasets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong work ethic and ownership mindset.
- Finance and/or Treasury experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Tableau experience.
- Power BI experience.
- SQL knowledge and data extraction experience.
- Understanding of Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP).
- Knowledge of treasury risk management, liquidity, capital management, or interest rate risk.
- CFA designation (or progress toward CFA).
- Master's degree in a related field.
