Project Manager - Building Construction

Our client is one of Qatar's leading Grade A construction companies with extensive experience in delivering major building and infrastructure developments across the State of Qatar.

Role Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall execution and successful delivery of large-scale building construction projects in accordance with contract requirements, project specifications, budget constraints, quality standards, and approved schedules.

The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary project teams while maintaining effective coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day execution of the project and ensure achievement of project objectives in accordance with contractual requirements
• Lead and coordinate engineering, construction, commercial, planning, procurement, and client interface activities
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where necessary to mitigate delays or cost overruns
• Manage project risks, contractual matters, and stakeholder expectations effectively
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and relevant authorities to secure approvals and maintain project progress
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, authority requirements, and company HSE policies
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients
• Lead project teams and promote a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and delivery excellence
  
  
  

Requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 15 years of overall experience in construction projects
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager delivering major building construction projects
• Proven experience in large-scale building developments including residential, mixed-use, accommodation, institutional, commercial, hospitality, or similar projects
• Demonstrated track record of delivering projects of comparable scale and complexity
• Strong GCC construction experience
• Building construction project experience in the UAE
• Valid MMUP/UPDA registration where applicable
• Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies, contract administration, cost control, and planning
• Candidates currently based in the UAE and available to relocate to Qatar
• Willing and able to relocate to Qatar
• Able to work on-site
• Available to start immediately or on short notice
• Experience working with Tier-1 contractors on major building projects
• Strong understanding of Qatar market practices and project delivery requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Previous Qatar experience is highly preferred
• Familiarity with Qatar authorities, approval processes, and local regulations is highly advantageous
• Exposure to major Qatar clients, consultants, and organizations such as QatarEnergy, Ashghal, Qatar Rail, and similar entities will be considered an advantage
