URGENT REQUIREMENT

Your new company:

Join a leading Australian telecommunications and technology organisation undergoing significant transformation and growth. With a strong focus on critical infrastructure, governance, risk, and compliance, the organisation is seeking an experienced GRC Lead to strengthen its Security GRC capability and drive the delivery of key regulatory and compliance initiatives.

Your new role:

As the GRC Lead, you will be a hands-on practitioner responsible for leading and delivering critical SOCI and regulatory compliance outcomes. This is not a strategy or advisory-focused role; you will be expected to step in, take ownership, and drive execution with minimal direction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving the completion of annual TSRMP/CIRMP attestations and supporting Board approval processes.
  • Preparing Home Affairs notifications for offshore initiatives, including treatment of TSRMP hazard domains.
  • Developing and executing roadmaps to achieve SOCI compliance across acquired business assets.
  • Finalising SOCI governance frameworks, RACI models, and evidence packs.
  • Translating NIST gap assessments and roadmap outcomes into practical delivery activities.
  • Establishing governance structures, operational cadence, and accountability across the Security GRC function.
  • Collaborating closely with executive stakeholders, Legal, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure successful delivery of compliance obligations.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering outcomes under the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act.
  • Strong knowledge of TSRMP and CIRMP requirements and associated compliance obligations.
  • Proven experience leading regulatory attestations, audits, evidence collection, and compliance activities.
  • Experience developing governance frameworks, risk management practices, and operating models.
  • Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and translating assessment findings into actionable remediation plans.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience within telecommunications, critical infrastructure, or highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.

What you'll get in return:

  • Initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension.
  • Competitive daily rate.
  • Opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical regulatory and compliance outcomes.
  • Hybrid working arrangement based in Melbourne.
