As a Java Backend Developer at LingoHub, you develop scalable backend services. Additionally, you contribute to projects related to intelligent translation automation.

• You develop high-performance and maintainable Java services (Java 25, Spring Boot 4.0) that serve as the foundation for our AI functionalities.
• You build APIs that are enjoyed by both humans and machines – clear, fast, and well-documented.
• You design and maintain robust code architectures and ensure clean integration into our AWS-based infrastructure.
• You work with large datasets and relational databases, designing efficient data models and optimizing SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• You are involved in AI-based features such as automatic translation, semantic search with embeddings, and terminology checking.

Your Stack

Your skills

• At least 3 years of experience in developing Java-based applications – production-ready and reliable.
• Experience with modern backend architectures as well as with a clean,
• well-designed API.
• You're excited about AI – whether in product development or working with tools like Copilot & Co.
• Structured working style, clear communication, and a pronounced
• Hands-on mentality.
• Curiosity and pragmatism, combined with the ability to think beyond the code to
• to think about real added value for the users.
• Secure communication in English, both written and spoken, as English

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures or Prompt Engineering
• Knowledge in handling AI tools and frameworks such as LangChain4j, HuggingFace, or OpenAI APIs
• Experience with evaluating AI features in live operation, e.g., through A/B testing.

For this position, a collective agreement minimum salary of € 3,954 gross per month based on a 38.5-hour workweek applies. The classification is according to the IT collective agreement in employment group ST1, standard level. The actual pay depends on your qualifications and experience. Overpayment is, of course, possible depending on your profile. The salary is paid 14 times annually.
