Role Description This is a full-time Accountant role based in Riga, offered in a hybrid format with a mix of on-site and work-from-home days. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including processing invoices, recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities include preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and assisting with tax and regulatory filings. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams on financial queries, improving accounting processes, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and compliance standards. The Accountant will support period-end closing activities and provide data and analysis to aid management decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices, including GL accounting, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid skills in Excel and other spreadsheet tools for data analysis.
• Understanding of tax, regulatory, and compliance requirements relevant to corporate accounting and financial operations.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and documentation, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are an advantage.
• Experience in technology, online services, or gaming/betting industries is beneficial, along with familiarity with international B2B operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a continuous improvement mindset toward processes and controls.
