ML Engineer - Conversational AI and Voice Technology

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented ML Engineer to join our team specializing in conversational AI and voice technology solutions. You will be responsible for developing and operating ML models related to speech recognition and natural language processing (NLP), as well as backend development to deliver these ML models as services. Our focus is on delivering valuable solutions to users quickly, prioritizing user value over the latest research. Therefore, flexibility in using external ML APIs in addition to in-house model development is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoC) for ML models.
• Investigate, experiment, and improve existing models to enhance accuracy.
• Develop backend systems to serve ML models in a production environment.

Development Environment:

• Languages (Machine Learning): Python
• Languages (Backend): Python, TypeScript
• Machine Learning Libraries: scikit-learn, PyTorch
• Infrastructure: AWS
• Code Management: GitHub
• CI: GitHub Actions

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in developing speech ML models.
• 2+ years of experience in backend development using ML models.
• Proficiency in Japanese for communication.
• Comfortable with English (many engineers are non-Japanese).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in backend development using TypeScript.
• Experience in speech recognition and NLP.
• Experience in building MLOps pipelines.
• Experience with Kaggle.

Working system

• Hybrid
• Flextime system (core time: 12:00-15:00)
• Two days off per week (Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, New Year's holidays, etc.)
