Key Responsibilities

  • Design Strategy and Collaboration:
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define the goals and vision for product designs.
  • Lead the design process from concept to delivery, ensuring user-centered solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Advocate for the user experience and maintain high-quality standards throughout the design lifecycle.
  • User-Centered Design Creation:
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and interaction designs that effectively communicate ideas and solutions to the team and stakeholders.
  • Develop clear and consistent visual designs that align with the brand and are optimized for usability, accessibility, and performance.
  • Regularly present and iterate on design concepts based on feedback from stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • User Research and Testing:
  • Conduct user research to gain insights into user behavior, needs, and pain points, and use this information to inform design decisions.
  • Plan and carry out usability testing to gather feedback, analyze results, and refine designs for better user experiences.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to continuously improve designs, enhancing usability, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • UI Design and Consistency:
  • Create visually appealing UI designs that are consistent, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Develop design systems, patterns, and components to ensure a cohesive and efficient design process across the platform.
  • Maintain a high standard of design quality, consistency, and attention to detail in all design deliverables.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork:
  • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure the seamless implementation of designs into the final product.
  • Support engineers by providing design specifications and assets and ensuring the design vision is accurately executed.
  • Work with product teams to monitor user feedback and analytics to inform ongoing design improvements.
  • Industry Awareness and Innovation:
  • Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices, incorporating innovative ideas into your design work.
  • Continuously strive to improve your design process and skills, ensuring the highest quality user experiences.

Requirements

  • Experience:
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design projects for web and mobile platforms.
  • A focus on user experience and aesthetics, demonstrating a clear understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Skills:
  • Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar tools for wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
  • Familiarity with design systems, responsive design principles, and best practices for mobile and web interfaces.
  • Experience with user research, usability testing, and data-driven design improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and concepts clearly to both design and non-design stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and passionate about creating impactful user experiences.
