We are seeking a Senior Bioinformatician with expertise in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AI/ML-driven bioinformatics pipelines and tools for multi-omics data analysis (e.g., genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics).
  • Develop predictive models and algorithms for biomarker discovery, drug development, and clinical research.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams to interpret biological data and generate actionable insights.
  • Stay at the forefront of advancements in AI/ML and bioinformatics, integrating novel methods into workflows.
  • Manage and optimise high-throughput data integration and processing pipelines for scalability and efficiency.


Qualifications and Experience

  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or a Master’s with additional experience.
  • Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation tools, e.g. Docker.
  • Advanced experience in multi-omics data analysis and big data integration.
  • Mentor junior scientists, and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prior experience in drug discovery, biomarker development, or clinical research is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in French or Dutch is a plus.
