We are seeking a Senior Bioinformatician with expertise in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning. Apply AI/ML techniques to complex biological data sets and drive innovation in computational biology and personalised healthcare. As a key member of the team, you will work on-site in a collaborative environment alongside leading researchers, data scientists, and clinicians.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI/ML-driven bioinformatics pipelines and tools for multi-omics data analysis (e.g., genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics).
- Develop predictive models and algorithms for biomarker discovery, drug development, and clinical research.
- Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams to interpret biological data and generate actionable insights.
- Stay at the forefront of advancements in AI/ML and bioinformatics, integrating novel methods into workflows.
- Manage and optimise high-throughput data integration and processing pipelines for scalability and efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or a Master’s with additional experience.
- Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation tools, e.g. Docker.
- Advanced experience in multi-omics data analysis and big data integration.
- Mentor junior scientists, and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience in drug discovery, biomarker development, or clinical research is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in French or Dutch is a plus.
