DevOps Engineer

About the job

• Location: Remote from Poland

Key responsibilities:

1.CI/CD Pipeline Management

• Create, manage, and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines for automated deployment of GCP resources.
• Integrate automated testing, code quality checks, and security scans into the pipeline.

2.Terraform Development and Maintenance

• Write and maintain Terraform code to manage GCP infrastructure.
• Implement best practices for Terraform, including state management, modules, and version control.

3.Infrastructure Management

• Provision, configure, and manage GCP resources (e.g., Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage) using Terraform.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.

4.Security Implementation

• Incorporate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure code.
• Implement identity and access management (IAM) policies, network security, and data protection strategies.

5.Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment processes.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices.

6.Continuous Improvement

• Continuously evaluate and improve CI/CD pipeline efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated with the latest GCP, Terraform, and Azure DevOps features and improvements.

7.Troubleshooting and Support

• Provide support for deployment issues and infrastructure incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes for recurring problems.

8.Compliance and Governance

• Ensure that the infrastructure and processes comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Implement governance policies for resource management and cost optimization.

Qualifications:

Must have:

Over 3 years of experience as a DevOps

Experience in working with Terraform, GCP ( ideally BigQuery)

Hands-on experience in datalakes etc.

Additional information:

Main activity for this person will be to build Big Query environments in GCP cloud by using terraform to contribute in data migration project in all aspect of DevOps activities.
