Junior Software Engineer

The Greenline Pet team at IDEXX are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate developer to grow their skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will work on full-stack development projects, contributing to both front-end and back-end components of our applications. You'll collaborate with senior developers and other team members to create efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.

This role will be based onsite in our Frankline, TN office.

But what is Greenline Pet? Greenline Pet has recently come into the IDEXX Veterinary Software product portfolio. They are a leading SaaS data platform providing an automated solution for delivery of digital coupons and rebates for animal health manufacturers. The Greenline software platform automates a previously manual, paper-based coupon process. The platform reduces friction for the practice and pet owner, shortens the reimbursement timeline, and captures valuable data for manufacturers on campaign performance and pet owner behavior .

A Bit More About The Role, You Will

• Develop and maintain web applications using React and other modern JavaScript frameworks
• Work with RESTful APIs and integrate them into front-end applications
• Design and implement database schemas using relational database management systems
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development practices
• Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing application performance
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
  
  

So what are we looking for?

• Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with React.js
• Proficiency in at least one of these languages: C#, Python, Node.js, Golang
• Understanding of RESTful API concepts and experience in API integration
• Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities skills
• Experience with server-side frameworks such as .NET, Node.js, Express.js, or Django
• Demonstrated ability to work in sprint-based development cycles
• Experience with modern CSS frameworks, particularly Tailwind CSS
• Experience with cloud-native application development
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and test-driven development
