Role Title: Analyst – Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This role is pivotal in driving automation, infrastructure management, and CI/CD processes within complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in DevOps methodologies, experience with cloud platforms, configuration management, container orchestration, and security practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize infrastructure using Azure DevOps, ensuring seamless CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate configuration management tasks with Ansible and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
• Administer and monitor Linux environments, with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Deploy, scale, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Perform TLS certificate management with OpenSSL and address vulnerabilities identified by tools like SonarQube, Checkmarx, and Nexus IQ.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Ensure secure and scalable middleware integration through platforms like Kong and IBM MQ and API management.
• Troubleshoot and maintain network services, including DNS, Load Balancing, and firewall configurations.
• Utilize SQL for database management and ensure effective handling of data formats like XML and JSON.
• Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps clearly and effectively.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

• 5+ years in DevOps roles with a strong focus on automation and infrastructure management.
• Experience in complex enterprise environments, application administration, and life cycle management.
• Previous exposure to the financial sector is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Operating Systems:
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting.
• Cloud Platforms:
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including pipeline setup and management.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS (Compute, Functions, Storage, AKS/EKS).
• Configuration Management & Automation:
• Expertise in Git version control.
• Skilled in Ansible for automation and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Containerization & Orchestration:
• Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes for managing containerized applications.
• Security:
• Experience with OpenSSL, TLS management, and security scanning tools like SonarQube, Checkmarx, and Nexus IQ.
• Middleware & Integration:
• Basic knowledge of application platforms like JBoss EAP.
• Familiarity with APIs and tools like curl, Postman, and Insomnia.
• Networking:
• Basic skills in DNS, load balancing, and firewall configurations.
• Database & Data Formats:
• Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with XML/JSON for data interchange.
