We’re looking for a Platform Engineering Lead to join our Engineering team!
About The Role
As a Platform Engineering Lead, you will lead a team to design, implement, and manage a highly scalable, secure, and automated platform on AWS. You will work closely with development teams, ensuring the platform enables efficient application delivery while maintaining high availability and performance. This role is central to driving the continuous improvement of our cloud infrastructure and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop and optimize a secure, resilient, and scalable AWS platform to support business-critical applications.
- Lead and mentor a team of platform engineers, fostering best practices and a collaborative environment.
- Define and implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and product teams to align platform capabilities with business requirements.
- Ensure the platform meets the highest security standards while optimizing performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness across all infrastructure.
- Lead migrations from other platforms to AWS, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal downtime.
- Research new AWS services and emerging technologies, providing guidance on architectural decisions.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident resolution to ensure platform reliability and uptime.
- You have 6+ years of experience in cloud engineering or platform engineering roles, with a strong focus on AWS.
- You have 2+ years of experience leading teams, providing mentorship, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- You have hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- You are familiar with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native architecture.
- You have expertise in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and alerting frameworks.
- You possess strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, including IAM policies and encryption standards.
- You are passionate about building self-service platforms that improve developer experience and operational efficiency.
- You have a strong command of both spoken and written English.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
- Experience in fintech, DeFi, or iGaming is a nice-to-have.
