Senior Java Back End Developer

For our Rewards Engine team, we are looking for a dedicated Back-End Developer. As part of a multi-site DevOps team your primary responsibility will be design, development and maintain our our Omnichannel Rewards Engine, a backend service that calculates promotions, discounts and loyalty rewards that runs both in the cloud (for online shopping) and on our in-store points of sale.

Key responsibilities of your role

• Designing, developing, and maintaining the Omnichannel Reward Engine and it’s API’s.
• Contributing to the development and improvement of agile development processes and methodologies.
• Work in an Agile software development environment.
• Takes part in the on-call schedule.
• Maintaining documentation regarding test procedures and results.

Requirements:

• Ideally you have hands-on experience in Kotlin and Microservices or you have experience in Java and you are willing to learn and work with Kotlin.

• Understanding of Kafka and/or API’s would be a big bonus for us.

• A good understanding of CI/CD practices in a (MS Azure/AKS) Cloud environment.

• Experience with development of POS systems or Embedded systems is a plus.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary and multi-site Scrum team.

• Conversational level of English.
