As our Senior Full Stack Engineer

You will play a critical role in our engineering team by leading the development of both user-facing features and backend systems. Your responsibilities will include building reusable components, developing robust APIs, and ensuring our applications are optimized for speed, scalability, and seamless integration. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in Japan and the US to deliver intuitive and visually engaging user experiences while maintaining the performance and reliability of our backend infrastructure.

Your Typical Day With Us:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced features for our web applications, focusing on both front-end and back-end functionalities to deliver high-performance and scalable solutions.
• Architect and build reusable components and libraries for the front-end and back-end systems, ensuring a consistent and maintainable codebase.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, delivering intuitive and visually appealing user experiences.
• Design and implement clean, maintainable APIs (REST and gRPC) aligned with DDD architecture, documenting API specifications and data flow.
• Optimize overall application performance, ensuring fast load times, seamless interactions, and efficient backend processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate front-end and back-end systems effectively.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers (front-end, back-end, or full-stack), providing code reviews, technical advice, and fostering team development.
• Migrate and improve legacy systems (Python, Ruby) to modern architectures and technologies.
• Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and scalability issues, creating and testing robust solutions.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align development with product goals and company objectives.
• Depending on the team, participate in an on-call rotation with additional compensation.

What You’ll Need:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, including substantial experience with front-end and back-end development for large-scale, high-performance applications.
• Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (React.js or Vue.js) with deep knowledge of TypeScript, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript build tools like Webpack and Babel.
• Experience with backend development, particularly in Golang, with knowledge of RESTful APIs, gRPC, and DDD principles.
• Strong proficiency in Git and GitHub workflows, including branching, merging, and collaboration strategies.
• Experience with testing methodologies, including unit tests and integration tests, for front-end and back-end systems.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch, including setting up and maintaining clusters.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide a team of engineers, with a passion for sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration.
• A strong ability to adapt in a dynamic environment, solve complex problems, and provide recommendations for improvements to current systems.

What Makes You Stand Out:

• Hands-on experience with tools like eslint, prettier, Docker, Kubernetes, and Continuous Integration tools (e.g., CircleCI).
• Experience with micro-frontend and microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of accessibility principles and a passion for creating user-friendly products.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and SQL/RDB systems.
• Experience with tracing and metrics for performance optimization and troubleshooting.
• Previous experience in development with Python, Ruby, or NodeJS.
• Japanese communication skills (optional, but preferred).

• Salary Range : competitive (performance review every 6 months)
