Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Quality & Security Engineer based in Tokyo, Japan at Avensys Consulting in Taguig. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to application security, network security, cybersecurity, security engineering, and information security. Some flexibility for remote work is available.


Qualifications

  • Application Security and Network Security skills
  • Cybersecurity and Security Engineering expertise
  • Experience in Information Security
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field


Quality Assurance Duties:

  • Monitor and test product quality through rigorous inspections and testing protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop quality metrics and maintain documentation related to quality assurance processes.
  • Audits should be conducted based on established standards (e.g., ISO 9001:2015) to ensure compliance with quality regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product durability and performance
  • Security Engineering Duties: Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities within systems and applications.
  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls for applications and infrastructure.
  • Enhance security monitoring systems to detect abnormal behaviors or potential threats.
  • Promote security awareness throughout the organization by providing training and guidance on best practices.
  • Respond to security incidents, documenting findings and remediation efforts
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Educational Background:A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field is typically required.
  • Professional certifications such as Six Sigma, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) may be preferred
  • Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficiency in security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Experience with automated testing systems and quality control workflows
  • Soft Skills:Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset in identifying issues before they escalate



Job briefing:

• 3-5 years quality experience in Manufacturing industry

• No need to have security experience now, but willing to take security part in the future

• Native Japanese better age under 40s

• Can work under English environment
