The Role
Hays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Workday Business Implementation Programme Manager to join our client on an short temporary assignment for an approximate duration of 12 months with the possibility of an extension.
We are seeking a highly experienced Workday Business Implementation Programme Manager
for the business implementation of Workday modules and HR change projects related to Talent, Recruitment, Development and Performance Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Shapes, scopes, structures, plans and delivers the business change programme, responsible for driving, co-ordinating and delivering the plans to meet the business objectives, internal control needs and budgets
- Determines, establishes and manages appropriate and effective governance structures for the programme, workstreams and projects that is effective at all levels and aligns with key departmental / corporate governance structures.
- Ensures appropriate involvement and commitment from stakeholders through successful management of expectations and clear communication at all levels.
- Manages robust processes for risks, issues and dependencies and change control.
- Identifies resource requirements to ensure successful delivery of the programme or projects, working closely with the IAG GBS Head of Programmes.
- Ensures projects within the programme are managed and regularly reviewed. Provides programme updates to agreed schedule, process and standards and ensures effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Challenges the focus of the programme and its projects to meet targets and escalate any shortfalls to the IAG GBS Head of Programmes and to Programme governance.
- Builds and develops business cases for projects with the finance team. Ensures robust plans in place for realisation of benefits.
- Manages and leads cross-functional project teams without line management accountability
- Owns all portfolio and programme administration and documentation, including programme plans.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to manage complex programmes and projects in a fast-paced global environment, finite resources and conflicting priorities
- Ability to translate high-level business objectives into programme structures, project deliverables and plans ensuring alignment to business plan goals.
- Challenges focus of projects/programme to meet targets and initiates extra activities wherever gaps are identified.
- Demonstrates excellent planning, organisation and forecasting skills and experience of managing multiple projects / programmes and prioritises to meet objectives.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across a diverse geographic region. Demonstrates ability to influence, challenge and engage effectively at all levels.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work collaboratively, align diverse views and gain consensus, providing clarity on what is to be achieved.
- Demonstrates pro-active and forward-looking approach to the projects/programme such as managing risks and engagement with stakeholders. Recognises when to escalate.
- Ability to resolve complex issues through an objective and analytical approach, creating relevant clarity in areas of ambiguity, developing options and negotiating resolutions.
- Brings together cross-functional groups, leads discussions and achieves outcomes through a structured approach, effective workshop facilitation and collaboration.
- Good business acumen and commercial awareness which enables consideration of the wider impact and dependencies of projects and pre-empts issues.
- Ability to manage virtual teams
- Evaluates project deliverables to ensure they are fit for purpose and delivered to agreed standards.
